AARP joins Councils on Aging to Host Forum for Candidates Running for Governor in Louisiana

Do you wonder where the candidates in the race for Governor of Louisiana stand on critical issues affecting older adults, such as caregiving, health care and transportation?

AARP and the Councils on Aging are hosting a Gubernatorial Candidate Forum on  August 6, 2015 in Baton Rouge to give you a chance to see and hear how the candidates plan to handle the issues that directly affect Louisiana residents age 50+.

All four major candidates for Governor of Louisiana have been invited to participate and the Forum is free for guests of AARP and the Councils on Aging.

How can you participate?

• You can RSVP to attend the event here. Seating is limited and reservations are taken on a first come, first served basis.
• Watch on Periscope. AARP will use the mobile app Periscope to broadcast the forum live. To watch, you can download the free Periscope app from the Apple Store or Google Play, create a free account and then follow @AARPLouisiana. You will get an alert when the broadcast starts and you can watch it right on your phone.
