AARP Maryland wants Free Staters to know about several October events to help navigate caregiving and other challenges.

Caregivers can find guidance at the Frederick County Elder Expo 2018, at the Frederick Fairgrounds on Tuesday, Oct. 2 (exhibits from 4 to 6 p.m., caregiver presentation 6-8 p.m., registration required); and Wednesday, Oct. 3 (9 a.m.-2 p.m.). Visit espcfrederick.com/elder-expo.

Howard County’s annual 50+ Expo will be Friday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wilde Lake High School in Columbia ( facebook.com/hococommunity). AARP Family Caregiving Ambassador Amy Goyer will speak at both events, which are free.

The Discover the Power of Aging Expo, Oct. 3 and 4, at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Lutherville-Timonium showcases the latest in information, resources, products and services. For admission, you can donate cash or two or more cans of nonperishable food. All proceeds support the Seniors in Need Program. Details are at powerofageexpo.com.
