Marylanders who visit the Power of Age Expo in Baltimore County can get a taste of the many pleasures that being 50-plus has to offer. There will be continuous entertainment, silent auctions, health screenings, a job fair and more.

At the AARP Maryland booth, expo-goers can learn about a new state law that helps family caregivers, and how the AARP Fraud Watch Network can help them avoid scams. Maryland ranks ninth in the nation in fraud complaints per capita and fourth in identity theft complaints.

The expo will be held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Oct. 26-27, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday. Admission is $2 or two cans of nonperishable food, with proceeds going to the Seniors in Need Program. For more information, go to seniorexpoonline.com.
