If you don't think fun when you think AARP, you don't know aarp.

Sign up for the AARP Michigan Charity Golf Classic that tees off at 9:30 a.m. August 23 at Hawk Hollow Golf Course on Chandler Road.

Proceeds from the outing will benefit Tuesday Toolmen, a skilled group of volunteers that provides free home safety repairs and modifications to help low-income seniors, veterans and others.

The day’s activities also include a putting contest, hole-in-one prize, long drive competition and 50/50 drawing.

Celebrate Grandparents Day with AARP Michigan in downtown Lansing from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10.

This day is all about celebrating the unique role grandparents play in our lives.

This free family event features interactive fun for all ages, including a magician, a clown, a trebuchet launch, inflatables, a drone demonstration and other activities at Museum Drive and the Lansing River Trail.
