AARP Eye Center
AARP and the U.S. Small Business Administration will join forces to improve the chances for success of “encore entrepreneurs” – people 50 and older who are starting a business – at free workshops in Metro Detroit, Grand Rapids and Lansing during April.
The joint venture will match older entrepreneurs with successful business owners and community leaders for assistance and advice about such things as creating a business plan, securing financing and effective marketing.
The Michigan workshops will be in:
- Grand Rapids from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon on April 17 at the Grand Valley State University Seidman Center, 50 Front St. SW, Grand Rapids.
- Lansing from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon on April 29 at the Small Business Development Center, 309 N. Washington Square, Lansing.
- Metro Detroit from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon on April 30 at Michigan First Credit Union, 27000 Evergreen, Lathrup Village
