Improving access to health care, keeping utilities affordable and supporting veterans are among AARP Michigan's top state legislative priorities.

AARP Michigan advocates on policy issues that matter the most to Michigan residents age 50 and over and their families. AARP staff and volunteers work on both state and federal legislative issues.

In our state legislative advocacy efforts, AARP relies on more than 200 AARP Michigan volunteers, a state office headquartered in Lansing, and our 1.4 million Michigan members.

Each year, AARP Michigan publishes this document – our annual State Legislative Agenda – which we share with Michigan’s State Representatives, State Senators, Governor, AARP members, AARP volunteers and the public.
