AARP Mississippi is happy to announce our Scholar Athletes of the Week every Friday this fall. We partnered with Super Talk Mississippi to seek nominations for outstanding students who excel in sports and academics. The response was overwhelming! That’s why we’re bringing you two exceptional Scholar Athletes every week.

Meet Dakotah Chayanne Robinson, a senior at Terry High School. Here’s what Sharon Robinson said: “I would like to nominate Dakotah Chayanne Robinson. She is a senior at Terry High School in Terry, MS. She is the daughter of Wardell and Sharon Robinson of Byram. She has played numerous sports in the community and for the school, such as softball, tennis and volleyball. She is currently a volleyball player for the junior varsity and varsity teams. She plays numerous positions on the team but is most noted for defender. Her position is middle hitter/defense specialist. Dakotah is also an officer in the school's JROTC program. She has a 3.8 GPA and plans to attend Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana upon graduation and major in Psychology. Dakotah's motto in life is "How you do anything, is how you do everything!"

Dakotah is the daughter of Wardell and Sharon Robinson.
