Every year, more than 500,000 Mississippians perform a great labor of love by helping their parents, spouses, and other loved ones remain at home. These family caregivers are sometimes on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In Mississippi, family caregivers provide unpaid care valued at an estimated $5.4 billion annually.
Family caregivers spend a great deal of time tending to their loved ones’ needs. In Mississippi, caregivers devote an estimated 467 million hours a year caring for their loved ones. They assist with bathing, meal preparation, medications, transportation and other tasks of daily living.
If you are not a caregiver now, you likely were one in the past, or you may be one in the future. The caregiving webinar is an opportunity to have your caregiving questions answered and to receive the resources you need for your family. To register for this free webinar, click here.
