AARP Eye Center
AARP relies on dedicated volunteers for many activities, including advocating for Americans 50-plus at the state capitol and working at health fairs.
Now, AARP Mississippi is asking volunteers to help with virtual events, in order to continue the activities while keeping participants safe.
AARP has planned webinars, Facebook Live events and virtual chats covering family caregiving, fraud and scams, financial education and more.
Virtual volunteers will receive training online to learn about ways to get involved, ranging from presenting information to assisting behind the scenes.
If you are interested, email the state office at msaarp@aarp.org, and staff will reach out for a brief conversation.
Volunteers can then sign up for training.
