AARP and Mary Lanning Healthcare collecting donations of mobility medical equipment

AARP Nebraska’s team of Hastings volunteers is joining forces with Mary Lanning Healthcare to host a Care to Share mobility medical equipment drive on June 16. The drive will be held at Mary Lanning Healthcare, 715 North St. Joseph Avenue from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

All items to be donated must be clean and gently used. Accepted items include: wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, metal canes, shower chairs, bed rails, knee scooters and walkers. Any items that are soiled, porous or torn will not be accepted. Additionally, the drive will not accept toilet risers, beds, bedside commodes or wooden crutches.

Donations can be dropped off at the Main Visitor entrance on the east side of the building. The donated equipment will be given to patients for at home use based on financial need.
