In an increasingly digital world, it's critical that Nebraskans of all ages have access to affordable, high-speed internet. AARP Nebraska is teaming up with the Institute for Local Self-Reliance (ILSR) to host a "Connecting Older Adults: Navigating Digital Literacy" webinar on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 2-3 p.m. CDT via Zoom.

Featured guests include Sean Gonsalves, Associate Director for Communications, and DeAnne Cuellar, Associate Director for Outreach - Community Broadband Networks, with ILSR. This webinar promises to build awareness and education around the topic, as well as take a closer look at local solutions.

"Access to high-speed internet can be a game changer for Nebraska residents," said Todd Stubbendieck, State Director for AARP Nebraska. "Broadband education and empowerment are among the core components that make communities more livable and thereby help facilitate aging in place."

This session will also direct attendees to tools and resources for accessing adequate digital skill development.
