AARP To Host Free Shredding Events Across Tennessee

AARP Tennessee and the AARP Fraud Watch Network can help you protect yourself against identity theft. Join us for a free document shredding event on Saturday, April 29. This event is open to the public and AARP membership is not required.

We’ll be in Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga with a shred truck so you can safely and securely dispose of sensitive documents, on-site and free-of-charge by a professional shred company…and stay one step ahead of scammers.

What to bring:

  • Up to 4 boxes or 13-gallon trash bags are accepted. 
  • Shredding trucks will stay on-site until the listed conclusion time or until they reach capacity. 
  • Staples do not need to be removed. 
  • We cannot accept metal, plastic, x-rays, cardboard, magazines or pre-shredded documents.
