Sail Away on AARP Day on the Lake

Seize the opportunity on Aug. 28 to embark on Lake Champlain as part of the fifth annual AARP Day on the Lake.

AARP members can choose a guided harbor tour on a 23-foot keelboat, an hour-long paddleboard lesson or a chance to explore on their own in a kayak or canoe. All options are free, and each AARP member can bring one guest.

“We really enjoy meeting our members and treating them to an adventure on beautiful Lake Champlain that they won’t soon forget,” said Greg Marchildon, AARP state director.

The event begins at 9 a.m. at the Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center in Burlington. Reservations are available for morning and afternoon harbor tours, and refreshments will be provided.
