Help Stop Fraud April 12

AARP Vermont will host a Scam Jam in South Burlington next month.

The free seminar will feature state Attorney General T.J. Donovan (D). Fraud experts from the state Securities Division, the University of Vermont’s Consumer Assistance Program and AARP will also participate. The presenters will discuss scams targeting Vermonters, such as bogus investment deals, lottery scams, email fraud, a grandparent ruse and the latest identity theft schemes.

The Scam Jam will be Thursday, April 12, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at Trader Duke’s Hotel (formerly the DoubleTree Hotel), 1117 Williston Road.

The event includes lunch, and registration is required at aarp.cvent.com/ScamJamBurlington.
