Looking for Work? Check Out Career Fair

Back to work image

AARP DC is hosting a free party to watch and participate in the AARP Online Career Fair on Thursday, Sept. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Job seekers 50-plus are invited to visit prospective employers’ virtual booths and chat online with company representatives. They can also ask questions in webinars and chat with career coaches online.

Workers 50-plus typically experience longer bouts of unemployment than their younger counterparts, and this event aims to shorten the duration.

The watch party is at the AARP DC office, 100 M St. SE, in the Navy Yard neighborhood. RSVP by Sept. 13 at aarp.cvent.com/AARPDCOnlineCareerFairWatchParty.

Can’t attend? Then follow the live event (same date and time) from any computer at aarp.org/onlinecareerfair. Or access it afterward to play interactive videos and get email addresses for employers.
