AARP Hearing Center
West Virginia state lawmakers will return to Charleston in early January for the start of the 2026 regular session of the West Virginia Legislature. The 60-day session begins January 14.
AARP West Virginia staff and volunteers will keep a visible presence at the State Capitol throughout the 2026 West Virginia Legislature, advocating on issues including caregiving, long-term care and home and community based services, and enhancing consumer protections against fraud.
As we prepare to engage with state lawmakers on the issues that matter most to West Virginians 50+, we want to know what you think. Take our 2026 Legislative Issues questionnaire to share your opinions on the issues that matter most, and the actions you would like to see the West Virginia Legislature take in 2026. We'll share this feedback with lawmakers and leaders at the State Capitol in the weeks ahead.
