Need help managing your money? Unsure of how to handle debt? Dealing with unplanned expenses? You are not alone, and AARP is here to help. AARP’s Money Map is a free program, available to all ages, designed to help you regain control of your financial situation. The Money Map has two pathways: Unplanned Expenses and Debt Management. If you’re dealing with Unplanned Expenses, AARP’s step-by-step assistance will help you create a plan of action within minutes. This pathway provides specialized plans for medical, car, and home expenses, along with a general plan to address any other expenses you might have. If you’re looking for assistance with Debt Management, there’s a specialized pathway for that as well. With a few simple steps, AARP’s Money Map program will create an actionable plan to help you get a handle on your debt while minimizing harm to your credit score. All of these resources are free and available to everyone, meaning you don’t need to be a member of AARP to access the Money Map.

Curious to learn more about how this program works? Thursdays with AARP Wisconsin on Thursday, December 17th at 12:00pm CT will be discussing AARP’s Money Map in detail, so you can learn all about the program by tuning in. The show will feature a demonstration of the Money Map tools, along with a conversation and Q&A with Gary Koenig, AARP’s Vice President of Financial Security. As we bid farewell to 2020, now is the perfect time to commit to become financially fit in 2021. And with AARP’s Money Map, you don’t have to go it alone. If you’re struggling with unplanned expenses or debt management, let AARP help you create a plan of action to regain control of your finances.

You can also join the conversation on Thursday by sharing your comments and/or questions live via Facebook and YouTube, or you can send your questions before, during, or after the presentation to dwasniewski@aarp.org.
