Grants Fund Community Improvement Projects in Wisconsin

Four organizations in three Wisconsin cities have received 2020 AARP Community Challenge grants for improvement projects to benefit residents of all ages.

In Cuba City the money will pay for games, benches, planters, a Wi-Fi hot spot and green space in an existing plaza.

Another grant will fund a tool-lending program, in Spooner, to help residents with limited resources maintain their homes.

In Milwaukee, one grant award will enhance a neighborhood park in the Menominee River Hills neighborhood through the installation of tables with built-in game boards and seating areas.

And another will help to continue restoring Victory Over Violence Park on King Drive, including installing a covered stage, lighting and seating.
