Advocacy is a cornerstone of our work. With less than six months left in the Wisconsin State Legislature’s 2025-26 session, we hoping you will join our efforts as we work to advance the following issues.
Falls Prevention Legislation: Wisconsin currently leads the nation in fall-related deaths. We believe Assembly Bill 410/Senate Bill 410 can help reverse that trend by providing $450,000 per year to the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging to support their evidence-based falls prevention work.
Crypto Kiosk Consumer Protection: We want to see Wisconsin join the 17 others that have passed consumer protection laws to help stop the rapidly growing prevalence of scams facilitated by cryptocurrency kiosks. An investigation by the Iowa Attorney General found that 98% of transactions were related to scams while a new lawsuit filed by the Washington D.C. Attorney General found that 93% of transactions were related to scams. Lawmakers can protect consumers by placing daily transaction and fee limits on crypto kiosk operators.
Reduce Social Isolation: We are working with the chair of the newly created Speaker’s Task Force on Elder Services to draft legislation that helps Wisconsinites age-in-place, reduce social isolation, and promote financial security.
2026 Voter Engagement Efforts: Our goal is to make sure that all Wisconsinites know where, when, and how to cast their ballot.
