Birmingham Shred-A-Thon on Wednesday, April 29

AARP Alabama and Fox 6 WBRC will host a FREE Shred-A-Thon on Wednesday, April 29 at the BJCC complex in Uptown Birmingham. Area residents can bring up to 3 bags OR 3 file boxes of personal documents for shredding on-site from 7 AM to 2 PM.

While the event is free to the public, we are asking everyone who comes to consider a donation

of a nonperishable food item for the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama.

Shredding trucks from Secure Destruction Service will be on-site. Please note that binders cannot be accepted, and please be sure that no household trash is included with the documents. Any kind of metal cannot be shredded. This event is for personal household documents only. Secure Destruction Service can provide information for businesses and organizations who wish to shred their documents at another location.
