AARP offers a vast amount of information relevant and vital to populations of all ages, and you can help us get the word out across Alabama.
If you enjoy spe
aking to groups and sharing information, consider joining AARP Alabama’s speakers bureau. This group shares vital information about caregiving, fraud, financial security, caregiving, home renovations, safe driving, and other topics relevant to families all over our state.
Our speakers respond to requests made through the AARP Alabama state office. They may also find additional organizations and community events for outreach, and additional volunteers.
We’re also looking for trainers and coordinators to help lead our growing teams.
Speakers need to be comfortable and experienced talking to groups. Background knowledge is beneficial for most topics, but is not required.
AARP volunteers receive training, reimbursement for expenses, support from staff and other volunteers, and have fun in the process. Help us spread the word.
