AARP Eye Center
Once again, AARP Alabama is teaming up with WBRC Fox 6 in Birmingham to bring you a series of Shred-A-Thons around North Central Alabama. Shredding your personal documents is an important way to protect yourself against identity theft. All documents will be shredded on-site, thanks to Secure Destruction Service. You can bring up to 3 trash bags or 3 file boxes of personal documents to be shredded.
These events are FREE to the public, but we are asking you to consider bringing a non-perishable food donation for the local food banks. And please note that this event is for shredding personal documents only, not for businesses or organizations.
And don't forget to join our AARP Fraud Watch Network! You can get email alerts about scams in your area, and post information about scams that you have seen. You don't have to be an AARP member, or over age 50, to sign up for this FREE service from AARP. For more information, go to aarp.org/fraudwatchnetwork.
