Officials from the state Division of Elections will join a telephone town hall on Wednesday, July 22, hosted by AARP Alaska, to update residents on balloting options and what they can expect for the Tuesday, Aug. 18, primary.

The call-in event (855-286-0294) will run from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. AARP encourages Alaskans to listen in and ask questions.

With the state’s history of close elections, AARP Alaska reminds residents that registering and voting can make a big difference.

Several state legislative races are on the ballot, along with a U.S. Senate and U.S. House primary, and municipal offices.
