Barre Fusion with Shauni

Active seniors doing a dumbbell workout

Join certified fitness instructor Shauni Hawkins for a fun virtual Barre Fusion class incorporating aspects of ballet, Pilates, yoga and strength training. The class will combine small, isolated movements with larger ranges of motion for a high-intensity, low-impact workout to improve muscle endurance, core strength, posture, balance and flexibility.

Suggested equipment and alternatives:

  • Light dumbbells (or cans/water bottles)
  • Small squishy playground ball (or small throw pillow/stuffed animal)
  • Paper plate (on carpet) or small towel (on hard surface flooring)
  • Loop resistance band (option to use no band)
  • Chair without wheels

Please consult your physician before beginning any new exercise program.
