Pueblo: Pull up a chair for connection and to learn something new

Pueblo City-County Library District

AARP Colorado is excited to partner with local volunteers and the Pueblo Public Library’s Rawlings (Main) Branch to offer new ways to connect.

Starting this February, AARP volunteers will host a “Pull up a Chair!” social on the second Wednesday of the month from 2 to 3:30 p.m. MT at the library.

“Our team is excited to explore different topics and connect with the community where they are,” Jessica Krough, director of outreach, said. “By taking this new approach, volunteers and the community will benefit from being so close to an important resource like the library.”

The first Pull up a Chair! event is scheduled for February 11 at Pueblo Public Library’s Rawlings Branch (100 E Abriendo Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004). Pull up a Chair! is free to attend, and registration is not required. Participants can expect a laid-back learning environment and the opportunity to meet new people.

The February Pull up a Chair! session will focus on learning tips and tricks for smartphone usage, as well as general tech help.

“We hope the community joins us at the Rawlings Branch for this new, monthly chance to connect,” Krough said. “You can learn something new and make new friends when you Pull up a Chair!”
