The challenges facing dementia caregivers will be explored along with the medicine and science behind dementia-related diseases in two special events held in October through partnerships with the Alzheimer’s Association, University of Denver, and CU Anschutz. Both of the programs are open to the public and offered at no charge.

Join us at the AARP Resource Center and discover yoga that you may find beneficial to help with life challenges. AARP Colorado is collaborating to offer 13 sessions throughout the remainder of 2023 and hope you'll join us. Yoga is open to anyone 18 plus and of all abilities.

Criminals commonly use the names of well-known and reputable computer companies, online retailers, money transfer services and virus protection software companies to try and defraud others. These computer-related scams often claim to be with companies like Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Norton, McAfee, PayPal and eBay, just to name a few. It is important to remember that computer scams can occur on any device that can access the internet including a smartphone and tablet. The following are some red flags to look out for to help identify some of the most reported computer-related scams:

The need for family caregivers continues to rise in Colorado, as the state grapples with an aging population and persistent health care staff shortages.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid are requiring states to determine whether they have an eligibility systems issue that could cause people, especially children, to be disenrolled from Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) even if they are still eligible for coverage, and requiring them to immediately reinstate coverage.

The Colorado Prescription Drug Affordability Board (PDAB) is beginning its price reviews for five high-cost drugs: Enbrel, Genvoya, Cosentyx, Stelara and Trikafta beginning mid-September with online hearings.
