Do you enjoy working for a cause? Do you want to team up with other leaders to enhance the quality of life of Delawareans as they age? Then you might want to join AARP Delaware’s Executive Council.
Judith (Judy) Taggart, AARP Delaware Executive Council member, has been named 2013 Woman of the Year by the University of Delaware Women’s Club. Judy will be honored at a luncheon on May 1.
That means it's Tax Aide time, too!
AARP Delaware collaborated with the County's Executive Office to produce the New Castle County Guide to Services for residents age 50 or older.
In response to the overwhelming devastation caused by Superstorm Sandy, AARP Foundation established the AARP Foundation Relief Fund and is giving nearly $1.3 million to select organizations working to support victims and communities impacted by the storm, including organizations dedicated to serving older adults. Donations were given nationally to the American Red Cross and locally to organizations in these seven states: Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Rhode Island.
