AARP Did Not Authorize or Participate in Production of Majority Forward Ad Targeting U.S. Sen. David Perdue of Georgia

ATLANTAAARP Georgia State Director Debra Tyler-Horton released the following statement today in response to Majority Forward’s citation of AARP and use of AARP’s logo in a political ad targeting U.S. Sen. David Perdue of Georgia. Said Tyler-Horton:

“AARP did not authorize or participate in the production of the advertisement targeting Senator Perdue. Further, Majority Forward’s ad includes the unauthorized use of AARP’s logo. AARP has a proud 34-year history of non-partisan voter engagement and does not endorse or oppose candidates, nor does AARP make contributions to political campaigns or candidates.

We encourage all Georgians to ask questions, so they understand where the candidates stand on important issues and make their own decisions on Election Day.”
