AARP Georgia team recently launched a new video podcast, the Georgia Red Clay Talks, a spinoff of the Georgia Red Clay Report, the organization’s monthly newsletter. Hosted by Adrion Bell, AARP Georgia’s Communications Director and Actor Michael Cole, the podcast is designed to inform and empower audiences to help ensure that their money, health and happiness live as long as they do.
The inaugural season features conversations with medical and fitness professionals, caregivers, and entertainers, exploring topics that range from women’s healthcare to navigating challenging career paths.
“We are delighted to launch a podcast that will serve to inform, entertain, and help foster a society in which all people live with dignity and purpose, and fulfill their goals and dreams,” said Vanessa J. Payne, AARP Georgia’s state director.
Bell recruited Cole as co-host for his quick wit, engaging sense of humor, and broad knowledge base. “Michael brings a tremendous amount of wisdom to the podcast,” Bell said. “But listeners shouldn’t expect an uptight or rigid format. We share information in a conversational, humorous, and entertaining way that keeps audiences engaged.”
Entertainment is Cole’s forte. His acting career spans more than 100 movies and television series, such as Being Mary Jane, BMF, The Mule, A Madea Christmas, Bandit, and 42.
