On December 15 th, as a proud sponsor, AARP Idaho will help place wreaths on Veteran’s headstones as part of the Wreaths Across America Day event in Idaho.
Wreaths Across America’s mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 1,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
This is a wonderful opportunity to honor those who served. AARP volunteers are asked to meet at 9:30am at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery located at 10100 N. Horseshoe Bend Rd., Boise, 83714. Coffee and refreshments will be available followed by the ceremony at 10:00 . Dress warmly since we will be outside walking while placing the wreaths.
