AARP Idaho state director Lupe Wissel will moderate the call and take questions from listeners around the state regarding the previous election, upcoming 2024 Idaho Legislative session, health care, property taxes and other issues important to the 50+ in Idaho. Live jazz will energize Idaho’s fall season when the popular Sun Valley Jazz & Music Festival returns this October. More than 200 musicians and 40 bands will perform at Sun Valley venues for five days starting Wednesday, Oct. 18.

AARP Idaho announced six organizations throughout the state will receive 2023 Community Challenge grants – part of the largest group of grantees to date with $3.6 million awarded among 310 organizations nationwide. Grantees will implement quick-action projects that help communities become more livable by improving public places; transportation; housing; digital connections; diversity, equity and inclusion; and more, with an emphasis on the needs of adults age 50 and older.
