AARP Eye Center

Four projects across the state received AARP Community Challenge grants for quick-action projects intended to boost local services and spaces.
Since 2017 in Idaho, AARP has awarded 30 grants and $329,138 through the program.
Projects funded in 2024 were:
Cascade: $6,000 for the city to add benches to a two-mile recreational trail.
Marsing: $15,000 to the city for an outdoor fitness court and accompanying mural, near Marsing Elementary School.
Salmon: $13,000 to the city to resurface worn-out pickleball courts in Salmon City Park.
Nampa: $15,000 to LEAP Housing for renovations at an affordable housing community for older adults.
