Community Grants Seek to Boost Livability

AARP has awarded six Community Challenge grants for projects to help boost livability for all residents.

  • Boise: $25,000 to Adapted Builds to support caregivers.
  • Orofino: $7,912 to the city to install ADA-compliant benches.
  • Malad: $12,000 to the city to build pickleball courts.
  • Lapwai: $20,000 to the Prairie River Library District for a covered bus stop.
  • Pocatello: $2,700 to the United Seniors Project for a community pop-up event.
  • Winchester: $2,500 to the Winchester Community Library for an accessible community garden.
