AARP Idaho is seeking sensible solutions to encourage more employees to save for their future.

Today, roughly 290,000 private sector Idaho workers do not have access to a retirement savings plan at work.

Idaho is facing a retirement savings crisis that will leave far too many of our residents barely able to afford their basic needs in their later years.

Recently, AARP Idaho state director Lupe Wissel, Angela Antonelli from the Georgetown Center for Retirement Initiatives and Pam Eaton of the Idaho Retailers Association and the Idaho Lodging Association, discussed the issue at a City Club of Boise forum about the future of retirement savings.
