AARP is pleased to announce the appointment of Karianne Fallow as AARP Idaho state director. Fallow will join the Idaho office on July 21, 2025.

Karianne brings to AARP more than 25 years of experience as an executive and strategic advisor at the intersection of public affairs, corporate communications, and organizational leadership. She has a proven track record of influencing policy, building high-performing teams, and leading mission-driven organizations through growth and change.

Most recently, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Dairy West, where she led significant transformation and elevated the organization’s national profile through innovative partnerships and stakeholder engagement. Her earlier leadership roles at Walmart and Albertsons positioned her as a trusted voice in government relations and internal communications.

“Karianne’s knowledge of the local Idaho landscape and her experience make her an exciting addition to the AARP team,” said Will Phillips, AARP west region vice president. “We look forward to her leadership in Idaho as we continue our mission to empower people to choose how they live as they age.”

In her role, Fallow will oversee AARP Idaho’s advocacy, community engagement and communications across the state and on behalf of nearly 200,000 Idaho members. She will lead a dedicated team of staff and volunteers committed to improving the lives of older Idahoans.

"Year after year, the AARP Idaho team transforms the lives of thousands of older adults—championing their needs through advocacy and relevant, engaging programs,” said Fallow. “I’m excited to join such a talented and dedicated team, and I can’t wait to amplify our work to protect and improve the lives of the 50-plus population in the Gem State.”

In addition to her professional work, Karianne is deeply engaged in her community. She serves on the boards of the Idaho Foodbank and the Southwest Idaho Mountain Bike Association (SWIMBA), coaches a local high school mountain bike team, and volunteers as a mountain ambassador at Tamarack Ski Resort. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon and a Master of Public Administration from Boise State University.
