Meals on Wheels Hosts the Largest March in the Country this Month

March for Meals is a month-long observance to spotlight senior hunger and food insecurity (one in seven seniors in America faces food insecurity on a regular basis) and how Meals on Wheels

solves the problem by providing daily hot, nutritious meals to seniors.

The March for Meals will take place Saturday, March 19th 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Kleiner Park, Meridian. The march event will depart from the park's band-shell and will be 1/3-mile long within the park.  There will be refreshments and entertainment by the "Prime Time Swingers."

• Food services of America will donate $5 for each marcher.
• Each donation equals one nutritious meal for a senior.

 

Our goal is to have the largest march event in the country for the second straight year!

No entry fee.
