Push on to Halt Transactions When Fraud Suspected

Scam Jam

AARP Idaho says financial institutions should be able to step in when they suspect scammers are trying to steal the savings of older and vulnerable people.

With the Legislature back in session in January, AARP will push for a law to enable financial firms to pause and investigate suspicious payments if exploitation is suspected. They could also share fishy transaction information with state investigators.
