As the pandemic has spawned new ways for con artists to trick people out of money, AARP Idaho is holding a telephone town hall with state Attorney General Lawrence Wasden (R) about how consumers can avoid becoming victims.
The statewide town hall is scheduled for Wednesday, May 26 and begins at 11 a.m. MT. Participants can join by dialing toll-free 866-767-0637 or register in advance by visiting

Wasden and Brett DeLange of the state consumer protection office will provide information on today’s fraud landscape.
Topics will include how consumers can recognize and thwart scams such as phony IRS calls and false COVID-19 vaccinations.
