United States Attorney for Idaho and Idaho Attorney General Join AARP for Fraud Prevention Town Hall

AARP Idaho to host Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador and United States Attorney for the District of Idaho Joshua Hurwit for statewide telephone town hall on fraud.

With tax filing season a prime time for identity theft scammers to prey on unsuspecting consumers, United States Attorney for the District of Idaho Joshua Hurwit and Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador will join AARP Idaho for a statewide telephone town hall on March 13 at 11:00am MT. The conversation will focus on current local, regional, and national trends regarding fraud and identity theft and how to avoid becoming the next victim of a costly scam.

Idahoans are encouraged to participate in the townhall and call-in with questions or comments.

The Attorney General’s Office is the leader in Idaho for enforcing the state’s consumer protection laws and helping educate citizens on avoiding fraud. The United States Attorney is the chief federal law enforcement officer in their district and is also involved in civil litigation where the United States is a party.

The call will be moderated by AARP Idaho state director Lupe Wissel.

The statewide town hall is scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, 11:00am – noon MT.
