This modern-day classic is complete with sibling rivalry, adultery and dungeons. Comedic in tone, dramatic in action – the play tells the story of Henry the Second, his brilliant queen Eleanor of Aquitaine, and the scheming children, who are locked in a free-for-all of competing ambitions to inherit a kingdom. Playwright James Goldman penned the beloved Oscar-winning screen adaptation.
AARP members and their guests can purchase discounted tickets to the Lion in Winter at the box office or online for $29 using the discount code: IOWA1819. The same discount applies to two shows later in the season: Gruesome Playground Injuries (April 5-14) and Disgraced (May 10-19).
