Grants Fund Local Projects in Iowa

AARP Iowa is encouraging nonprofits, cities and other groups across the state to apply for this year’s AARP Community Challenge grants.

The grants fund projects to improve public places, transportation, housing and other areas. Since the program was established in 2017, AARP has awarded 42 grants in Iowa, totaling more than $457,000. The deadline to apply for 2026 grants is in March. Visit aarp.org/communitychallenge.
