Do you know a volunteer age 50+ who is using his or her skills and experience to make a significant difference in your community?
Honor his or her dedication, commitment, and creativity with a nomination for the 2019 AARP Kansas Andrus Award for Community Service -- AARP’s most prestigious and visible state volunteer award for community service.
The purpose of the award is to recognize outstanding individuals who are making a powerful difference in their communities in ways that advance AARP’s purpose, vision, and commitment to volunteer service and that inspire others to volunteer. Last year's AARP Kansas Andrus Award was given to Judy Davis-Cole, Ottawa, for her dedication to her community through her volunteer activities and to her state through her efforts to advocate for support for caregivers, affordable health care and financial security for Kansans age 50 and older.
Nominations for this year’s award will be accepted through July 15, 2019 at the AARP Kansas office. Nomination forms are available by contacting Andrea Bozarth at 866-448-3619 or on the web at www.aarp.org/AndrusAward.
Review the eligibility guidelines and submit your online nomination.
