Plans for a Park! (Updated June 2018)

UPDATE! Check out the new playground!

In partnership with AARP Experience Corps, the AARP Foundation, and REAL School Gardens, AARP Maryland's volunteers (more than 100!) came together on May 10 to create a safe space for children to learn, thrive and play during the school day, that will also be available for the use of all generations during off-school hours. Enjoy highlights from the day!

MD James McHenry Big Dig Projects-1
Volunteer-led teams donated their time, creativity and muscle power to make the plans a reality in just one day.

The James McHenry project was the result of months of planning that kicked off in December 2017 with a "Design and Dine" event where faculty, staff, students and parents share their vision for the community space.
