Join AARP Maryland Executive Council member James Gutman and Andrew York, executive director of the Maryland Prescription Drug Affordability Board for a deep dive into the alchemy behind prescription drug pricing and how you as a consumer can better understand your options and lower your costs. 

Mr. Gutman will discuss the work that AARP is doing both at the state and national levels to support drug pricing transparency and affordability.  Mr. York will describe how drug prices are determined and provide background on the work that his organization is doing to improve affordability, not only in Maryland, but also how they are working with other states across the US on this critical issue.
