This year, AARP Massachusetts is focused on four major legislative priorities: a caregiver tax credit to cover expenses a taxpayer incurs for the care and support of a qualifying family member; nursing home reform; growing home- and community-based services; and expanding the Massachusetts Defined Contribution CORE Plan, a retirement plan designed for the state’s nonprofits.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides some no-contact and remote tax assistance free of charge to anyone in Massachusetts, with a special focus on taxpayers who are 50 or older or who have low to moderate income.
