Access to affordable high speed internet is essential for Massachusetts residents who wish to stay connected to jobs, family, friends, health care providers, and so much more. That’s why AARP fought for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which provides new long-term assistance for Massachusetts residents who are struggling to afford the high-speed internet services they need in these challenging times.

On April 27, 2022: AARP Massachusetts hosted a telephone town hall focusing on the ACP to answer questions MA residents had about the application process. To further assist, AARP MA had guests Eduard Bartholme: Associate Bureau Chief of the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and Joslyn Day: the Director of the Consumer Division for the Massachusetts Department of Telecommunications and Cable available for questions.

The recording of the tele-phone town hall is available here.

Tele-Town Hall Resources shared:

  • FCC Hotline: 8773842575
  • DTC Consumer Hotline: 18003926066
  • Text INTERNET to 22777

The ACP provides eligible recipients a discount of up to $30 per month for high speed internet services.
