November 2 @12:00pm- Event with SpeakOUT Boston
We're teaming up with SpeakOUT Boston on November 2nd for a workshop on LGBTQ+ identities and language. What pronouns should we use? When to ask? How can we use more inclusive language? We all want to be respectful and use the right words. While Adapting to changing language may be challenging, it can be important connecting with LGBTQ+ youth and their allies.
This AARP workshop features panelists from the nation’s oldest LGBTQ+ speakers bureau. SpeakOUT Boston is a community of speakers who are working to create a world free of homo-bi-transphobia and other forms of prejudice by telling the truths of their lives. You’ll hear some personal stories and learn more about gender identities, pronoun etiquette and vocabulary within the community. There will be an opportunity for Q&A with the panelists.
