In partnership with AARP Experience Corps, the AARP Foundation, and REAL School Gardens, AARP Maryland’s wish is to create a safe space for children to learn, thrive and play during the school day, that will also be available for the use of all generations during off-school hours. From that idea was born the AARP Maryland Intergenerational Park in Baltimore, at James McHenry Elementary School! Follow along with AARP Maryland as we sponsor and build a new intergenerational park in Baltimore! There are still volunteer spots available to help us with the “Big Dig” portion of the groundbreaking on May 10! Plenty of volunteer roles are available. For more information and to sign up, visit our Big Dig registration page.

Curious what kind of projects we’ll be doing all day? People of all activity levels and physical fitness will have something for them! See the list below and don’t forget to register right now as a volunteer.

Volunteers are needed for this project’s “big dig” this spring! If you’d like to get involved with our new park project, please visit our registration page.
