November is National Family Caregivers Month, and AARP Mississippi is holding a telephone town hall with advice for those who care for aging and ailing loved ones.
The Prepare to Care event on Thursday, Nov. 2, at 12 p.m., will include Chelsea Crittle, division director of aging programs for the Central Mississippi Planning and Development District, and Kimberly L. Campbell, AARP Mississippi state director.
Listeners can learn how to manage care for an older adult while also practicing self-care. Mississippi is home to 470,000 family caregivers, AARP research shows.
