AARP Eye Center
AARP Mississippi is looking for volunteers for its Speakers Bureau, which offers presentations on an array of issues.
Topics include fraud prevention, including ways to help people spot and avoid common scams; caregiving, which affects 470,000 family caregivers in the state; brain health; downsizing and decluttering; and the HomeFit Guide, designed to help make your home more accessible and livable as you age.
Presentations run 30 to 60 minutes and may be online or in person. Speakers can choose time slots from an AARP Mississippi schedule, but volunteers must commit to four hours of training by the state office. Online presentations will be recorded to accommodate speakers, although some will be done live.
